Brazil's revolution was one of few revolutions without bloodshed throughout the whole time and gaining independence. It also was one of the only revolutions where race did not come into play. If it had been part of this revolution, the Brazilians probably wouldn't have gotten the outcome they would have wanted because the attention would've been shifted to the racial issues. There wasn't a big need for race to be a part of this revolution because of the non-diverse country they were in. Most Brazilians at that time were Portuguese and born in Brazil. Other revolutions included race because they had more diverse populations and problems were starting to arise from this.
The article, "People Walk Out of Work, School in Ferguson Protests" by Rheana Murray in ABC News, is about the ongoing trial between a police officer who shot a black teenage boy. The issues with this case are very touchy because of the factor of race and asking how innocent the police officer really is. I believe that there isn't enough evidence to take one side of the story but, I also think that the riots and burning of buildings is too much for the people on Michael Brown's side. Race, I believe, will stay in this world forever and will always be part of some problem whether it is big or small. There will always be issues with identity and political business because of race but some people take this too far. There is a line for everything and with this Ferguson trial we have crossed that line.
